Dalhousie Gazette
The Dalhousie Gazette is a student-run newspaper serving the University community. I was hired as the Layout Editor for the 2024–2025 academic year. With a bi-weekly publication schedule, each issue is produced under a two-day layout turnaround and distributed across print and online platforms.

Process
The editorial team meets weekly to pitch story ideas, provide updates on reporting, and collaboratively debate the editorial article for each issue. These meetings inform content priorities and the paper’s overall narrative.
Design
As Layout Editor, I am responsible for designing page layouts for each department, using the copy and images provided by the team. I work closely with the Editor-in-Chief, Jenna Olsen, to ensure that visual design, content flow, and story order align with her vision for each issue.
