The Colon Cancer Prevention Program (CCPP) provides free at-home testing kits to Nova Scotians aged 50–74, yet fewer than half are returned for testing. Our class worked with the medical director and manager to reduce stress and barriers in the screening process, increase participation, and ultimately save lives. I focused on my group's branding, a Figma website design, and social media.
See my interview with Global News about the project here.

Process
I analyzed the existing kit and digital materials for accessibility, clarity, and visual consistency. I began by completing the test myself to understand the experience firsthand, then developed user personas, journey maps, experience maps, and a system map. This research revealed issues with cognitive overload, unclear navigation, and anxiety throughout the process. The goal was to make screening feel more straightforward and supportive.
Design
My team’s final concept, The Nova Scotian Embrace, reframes screening as an act of care grounded in trust and community. I co-designed a new CCPP logo, created a Figma website prototype with clear guidance and testimonials, and designed Instagram posts to normalize screening and encourage participation.
